Lou-Thumbnail-2WELCOME & THANK YOU for your interest in having me build your New Room Addition. I really enjoy taking on these types of projects simply due the creativity that’s involved! For an example, in one of the room addition projects below, what once was a window looking into the back yard, from the dining room, now is a set of beautiful wood stained doors with glass and traditional 15 lite muntins, inviting all into the new library!

When you schedule your appointment through any section of this website, it will go directly to my desk and I will get back to you ASAP to set a time to meet at your convenience and at the project location!

Here is a list of styles, designs & products you will find in some of our project completions.

  1. Great Room, Study & Library Additions
  2. Custom Book Shelves, Pocket Doors, Cabinetry, Triple Pane Windows & Wood Burning Stove
  3. Hardwood Floors, Metal Roof, Bay Window

Room Addition Added An Additional 2000 Sq. Ft. To This Montgomery Home!

Why Build A Room Addition?

A room addition can be desired for a new cozy master bedroom, or that specious master bathroom that will accommodate a new ultramodern curbless shower! More reasons that others might add on to the home include;

  1. Additional square footage to accommodate the in-laws
  2. Added area to get that awesome kitchen with everything the cook desires!
  3. It just makes financial sense to add on with a new family room verses moving!

Room Addition Review:

Lou Vaughn built our room additions which comprised of a full basement, library and sunroom with hardwood floors. Each floor consisted of over 990 square feet. The library and sun room are approximately 330 and 660 feet respectively. We had pocket doors installed between the rooms with recessed dimmer controlled lights throughout. A bay window with a seat was constructed at the end of the library room. Custom built cabinets and bookshelves were installed by Lou Vaughn. Track lighting was installed on top of the bookcases in the library. The sun room has a wood burning stove plus French doors exiting onto the patio.

The project proceeded quite smoothly due to Lou Vaughn’s meticulous attention to detail and professionalism. The entire project was completed within five months. The basement was dug out in a day. The basement footers which were extra conservative to avoid any shifting of the rooms were poured next. No shifting has occurred with the addition. The framing proceeded without any problems. A metal roof was applied due to the low angle of the roof pitch. The windows and French doors were installed next. The drywall went on smoothly and all corners are excellent with crisp angles. All seams were professionally sealed. The hardwood floor went down rapidly. The flooring looks fantastic with the recessed lights throughout the two rooms. The brick siding turned out well. Lou Vaughn oversaw the entire project from start to finish. He is hard working, professional, punctual and honest.
